Northern Colorado Fingerprinting is an affiliate of Colorado Fingerprinting, a CBI certified vendor for CABS (Colorado Applicant Background Screening). Fingerprints are captured on a scanner and submitted electronically to CBI at the time of the appointment. Results are typically processed within 72 business hours.
STEP 1 All reasons to be fingerprinted for CBI (Colorado Bureau of Investigation) have a CBI Unique ID code. The most common CBI Unique ID codes can be found by clicking HERE. If you can not find the CBI Unique ID code for the reason you are being fingerprinted, the best step is to ask your employer or the agency who is requesting that you be fingerprinted for the CBI Unique ID code you need to use. The next option is to call the Colorado Fingerprinting Helpline (720) 292-2722.
STEP 2 Once you have the CBI Unique ID code, click the "Click Here to Schedule Colorado Fingerprinting" link below. You will be redirected to the CABS (Colorado Applicant Background Screening) homepage for Colorado Fingerprinting. Mile High Fingerprinting is an authorized agent of Colorado Fingerprinting, an approved vendor of CBI.
STEP 3 Create an account and choose Loveland Police Department as the location for your appointment.

What ID's are acceptable?
ANY current, valid government issued photo ID from ANY state or country. This includes driver's license, passport (U.S. or from another country), or passport card. For customers 18 years old or younger a photo school ID is acceptable.
What is the difference between fingerprinting and a background check?
If your employer or state agency has requested that you get fingerprinted, it is likely because a fingerprint based background check is required. Fingerprinting is just the first step of the background check. Your fingerprints will be submitted to a state or federal agency to be checked against arrest records.
